For over 21 years, Boomers has placed hundreds of players in college programs, and we will continue to do so in the future. The success of our placement begins and ends with the quality of our coaching and training. We have built a strong reputation of preparing our athletes to the next level. We are a nationally recognized club.
For the majority of players, their volleyball career will end at the end of their undergraduate studies. Your selection of which school to attend should be based in how that university is going to benefit you during your adult life.

Know yourself. Be realistic on the evaluation of your talents. You are about to embark on a grueling and highly competitive enterprise. During the past decade the number of available scholarships has not changed, while the number of players competing for those scholarships has doubled. This is a trend that favors the recruiters but not the players. This means that you will have to work harder to secure that scholarship. You would have to play your best; study your hardest; research the schools carefully; become your number one promoter; and do all of these while staying healthy.

The first step in your recruitment endeavor is to know where you want to go. What is it that you would like to do with your life? Which field of study interests you? This will help you eliminate the schools that do not offer that career. Next you need to decide how far away from home you would like to be. If staying close to home is important, then begin by searching the schools in your state. Do I want to go to a big school, or a smaller school? Do I prefer schools located in a certain climate? Do I want to attend a religious institution? These and many other questions need to be asked and answered before you even begin to look at the schools. You need to focus your time and efforts on the schools that matter to you. And equally important, you need to focus your efforts where you have the highest probability of success.

Speak to your parents, your teachers, your club coach, your high school coach, and your club's recruitment coordinator. Talk to people that have your best interest at heart and get their input on what was good and bad about their college experience. Learn from their experience.

Discuss finances with your parents. Not all scholarships are full scholarships. How much are your parents willing to commit to your education? How are your grades? Is there a possibility of obtaining a partial scholastic scholarship? How much debt are you willing to incur?

Begin looking at the schools once you have a clear understanding of where you want to go. Our Research Center has a link to each and every school in the NCAA system that has a volleyball program. The link will take you to the schools' main page. Begin by researching the school, and then go to the Athletics page. Your main goal is your education. Let volleyball be your ticket to a subsidized education.
